Heaven Sent Opportunity
Many people get caught up with the busyness of their lives that they often forget they are surrounded by blessings and they should be thankful for it. Since the day I set foot on the airport, I knew exactly that this whole summer will be filled with fun, challenges, and more blessings. I have come to realize that God has blessed me so much that whatever I do would not equal to what he has given me. This internship alone is a heaven sent.
My
first week in Washington DC is full of new experiences. I met inspiring people
from different places and mentors who will shape me and help me grow as a soldier
of God. I find DC and everything in it fascinating. The city is beautiful and
it is full of history and meaning. Every building, street, and landmark have
stories to tell which makes me eager to learn about it. It is just the first
week and I have already heard inspirational sermons and learned several
principles of the United Methodist Church. I have also visited some places like
the Capitol, Supreme Court, Postal Museum, Air and Space Museum, and I have
commuted alone going to work and coming back to the apartment. I cannot wait to
what God has in store for me in DC and I will forever be thankful for the
people who made it possible for me to have this opportunity.
