Story of hope
Being one of the EYA interns is one of the greatest honor I have received and will forever stay in my memory as a first internship I have received in my first year of college. I cannot say enough about this brand new journey of my life. I owe a tremendous respect for my local church, Missouri Annual Conference and my mentors for making a huge contribution to get me to this journey, I also thankful to God, who gives me life and the blessing of exploring this new experience.
The first week of my internship was just amazing, I am grateful for having this opportunity. The first day with the Church World Service was a little bit challenging because I did not know what to do, in Thessalonians 5:18, the Bible says, "In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." I was very grateful for the challenges, because I strongly believe that those were just signs of the beginning of a dream coming true-- In few days that I have been in Washington D.C. I have met new friends and I have learned so much that I could never learn if I could be home--I have attended events and meeting which have shaped my perspective about the future.
This summer I am committed to exploring not only the experience as an intern but also to explore the United Methodist history. I hope to use my summer experience in the future.
